Perez signed a contract with the Lions on Monday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.
Perez previously spend time with the Eagles this offseason and now gets a chance in Detroit with Tom Savage (concussion) nursing a head injury. The Texas A&M-Commerce product and former AAF quarterback will provide the Lions with depth heading into Thursday's exhibition tilt against the Browns.
