Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday, The Detroit News reports.

Wednesday marks Pettigrew's first practice since sustaining the hamstring injury Sept. 13, and he could be ready for the Lions' Week 5 matchup against the Cardinals.

Fellow tight end Eric Ebron (knee) is also banged up and expected to sit out a couple weeks, which would likely promote Pettigrew to the starting spot for the time being. Tim Wright would also likely see more snaps in Ebron's absence.
