McCrane was cut from the Lions' practice squad Monday.
McCrane was signed to Detroit's practice squad in September to operate as an emergency option at kicker behind Jake Bates. McCrane last appeared in an NFL game in 2018, and he'll now look for his next opportunity elsewhere.
