Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin had his second career multi-passing touchdown game Week 14 at N.Y. Jets, but Oakland still lost to New York, 37-27. McGloin completed 18 of 31 passes for 245 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for 20 yards on two carries.
McGloin played most of the game, but did sit out for one series in the first half so the Raiders could get Terrelle Pryor some work. On McGloin's first series back, he threw an interception deep in Oakland's own territory, which New York returned to the Raiders' 4-yard line.
Both of McGloin's touchdowns came in the second half. He had an 48-yard touchdown pass to Rod Streater in the third quarter. McGloin threaded a pass between two defenders, and Streater took care of the rest. McGloin then had a 1-yard touchdown pass to Mychal Rivera late in the fourth quarter on a 4th-and-goal play.
McGloin's best chance for a three-touchdown game came on a 22-yard pass into the end zone in the fourth quarter. However, his pass intended for Jacoby Ford was badly underthrown, resulting in an incomplete pass.
The Raiders are back in action Week 15 vs. Kansas City.
