Young completed 13 of 30 passes for 161 yards and two interceptions in Sunday's 47-10 rout at the hands of the Saints. He added 12 rushing yards and a touchdown on four carries.

The rushing TD salvaged some fantasy value for the second-year QB, but Young looked no better as a passer in the 2024 season opener than he did in his disastrous rookie campaign. Building the 2023 first overall pick back up is a long-term project for Dave Canales and the Panthers' new coaching staff, but it didn't get off to an encouraging start. Young will try to shake off this performance and keep his team in the game in Week 2 against the Chargers.
