Young and other starters are scheduled to play in Saturday's preseason game against Buffalo, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Coach Dave Canales wants to use the final exhibition as a dress rehearsal after resting his starters for the first two weeks of the preseason. It'll be the only opportunity to see Young in a game setting before Carolina's Week 1 road matchup with the Saints.
