Gaines worked out with the Cardinals on Monday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Gaines appeared in 12 games with the Texans in 2020 but missed the final four weeks of the season due to a knee injury. Although he was unable to land a contract ahead of the 2021 campaign, he appears to be healthy as he attempts to secure a role with Arizona in Monday's workout. The 30-year-old totaled 24 tackles (18 solo) and one pass defense last year.
