Abdullah played 14 snaps on special teams in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Chargers, returning one kickoff for 28 yards.
Abdullah was not involved in the Raiders' offensive game plan during the season opener, while fellow running backs Zamir White and Alexander Mattison combined for 108 total yards and a receiving score on 24 touches. Mattison alone was targeted six times by quarterback Gardner Minshew, and Abdullah figures to cede passing down work to Mattison again Week 2 versus the Ravens.
