Wilson caught his lone target for one yard during Saturday's 16-14 preseason win over the Cardinals. He also returned two punts for 24 yards.
Wilson did not make much of an impression while working in with New Orleans' first-team offense, which was on the field for the first two drives Saturday. The 28-year-old appeared to step in for the absent Rashid Shaheed (hamstring), as he also handled the team's punt-return duties throughout the first quarter. Wilson's role as a pass catcher may be limited, but his value as a backup punt returner may help him latch onto the Saints' final 53-man roster.
