Heath signed a deal to join the Saints' active roster Tuesday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Heath was active for the Saints' Week 1 contest against the Packers but would have reverted back to the practice squad had he not been signed to the active roster. He played primarily on special teams in the opening contest, though he also earned nine defensive snaps and recorded two total tackles.
