Austin signed with the Saints' active roster Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
The Notre Dame product joined the Saints' practice squad in late September and has now been signed to the active roster. Austin appeared in New Orleans' Week 3 loss to the Seahawks, playing 22 offensive snaps but failing to catch his lone target. In a corresponding move, the Saints and Brandin Cooks mutually parted ways Wednesday.
