Saints' Spencer Rattler: Returns to practice Tuesday
Rattler (thigh) took part in Tuesday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Rattler was the Saints' third quarterback in this past Saturday's exhibition game in Arizona after Derek Carr (two drives) and Jake Haener (the rest of the first half), and the 2024 fifth-rounder completed nine of 17 passes for 70 yards while tallying two rushes for eight yards and a touchdown. On Sunday, the Saints were back on the practice field, but Rattler didn't join his teammates due to a bruised thigh. He was allowed to mix back into drills just two days later, but Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com noted that the QB was visibly limping from time to time. If the issue lingers into this weekend, there's a chance New Orleans exercises caution and keeps Rattler on the sideline Sunday at San Francisco.
