Mathieu (heel) did not practice Wednesday.
Mathieu is coming off a dominant Week 1 performance against the Panthers, in which he tallied four solo tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. The star safety's availability will be crucial for the Saints as the team prepares to take on the Cowboys on Sunday, so it will be worth monitoring whether Mathieu is able to do more in practice Thursday and/or Friday.
