Lutz signed with the Saints on Tuesday, NOLA.com's Josh Katzenstein reports.
An undrafted rookie out of Georgia State, the 22-year-old Lutz spent most of August in Baltimore, where he had no shot to crack the final roster unless Justin Tucker suffered an injury. This likely means Kai Forbath will be released, but it is possible Lutz is merely being signed as a kickoff specialist. The Saints kicker, whoever that is, will be a viable option in any format, so long as Drew Brees stays healthy.
