Barrington was released by the Chiefs on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Barrington was brought in by the Chiefs just before the regular season began but was released on Tuesday in order to make room for newly-signed Bishop Sankey on the roster. The 26-year-old failed to record a statistic in two games with the Chiefs and will now look to land on a team in need of linebacker depth.
