The Panthers waived Paysinger on Friday per the NFL's official transaction log.
Paysinger was waived in order to activate returning defensive end Charles Johnson. The veteran linebacker joined the Panthers' active roster prior to Week 14. He will presumably revert to their practice squad assuming he clears waivers.
