Blankenship (concussion/hand) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Blankenship has been unable to progress through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol and will be sidelined for the Texans' Week 7 contest. M.J. Stewart will likely be called upon to start at strong safety in the former Eagle's absence.
