McCain (ankle) was back at practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of Titans Online reports.

McCain had been dealing with a minor ankle injury for over a week, but his Thursday return indicates he may be able to play in the Titans' preseason opener Saturday against the Chargers. He's buried on the cornerback depth chart at this point, so he's got some proving to do.
