Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that Darrisaw was placed on injured reserve Friday after tearing the ACL and MCL in his left knee during Thursday's 30-20 loss to the Rams, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.

Darrisaw will miss the remainder of the 2024 season due to the major injury, but the left tackle is expected to be ready to go for the start of the 2025 season. The loss of Darrisaw is a significant one for Minnesota, as he had played a major part in protecting quarterback Sam Darnold's blindside for the first seven games after signing a four-year, $113 million extension with the team this past offseason. With Darrisaw sidelined, expect David Quessenberry to take over as the Vikings' starting left tackle.
