Phillips (back) was estimated as a non-participant for Wednesday's walk-through practice due to a back injury.
Phillips is nursing the back injury after playing 53 snaps and recording two tackles in the Vikings' 27-24 overtime loss to the Bengals in Week 15. If he's able to upgrade to full participation in practice by Friday, he should head into Sunday's game against the Lions without a designation.
