Hill (foot) was placed on the exempt/commissioner permission list Saturday.
The Vikings receive a roster exemption due to the move, though it remains unclear why they were allowed to do so. Hill was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions due to the foot issue and hasn't seen the field since Week 4. There's no indication of when the 23-year-old will return to the active roster.
