The Vikings signed Williams (shoulder) on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Williams, a former second-round selection by the Patriots, was unable to carve out a consistent defensive role during his four-year stint in New England. The 6-foot-3 cornerback was also sidelined for the entirety of this most recent campaign due to a shoulder issue, and he's now slated to attempt to rejuvenate his NFL career with Minnesota.
