The Vikings elevated Mannion from the practice squad Saturday.
With Jaren Hall (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints and Nick Mullens (back) not yet ready to return from injured reserve, Mannion should serve as Minnesota's backup to Joshua Dobbs in Week 10. The 31-year-old Mannion signed with the Vikings' practice squad Oct. 11 and last appeared in an NFL game in 2021.
