Wright (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday after testing positive for the virus, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Wright and fellow linebackers Denzel Perryman, Cory Littleton and Patrick Onwuasor all tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. The Raiders' linebacking corps will have its depth tested if none of them are able to clear the health and safety protocols in time to play Week 17.

Wright will start at middle linebacker for the Raiders on Monday against the Cleveland, Steve Wyche of NFL Network reports. With Will Compton being ruled out Monday due to personal reasons and Denzel Perryman already confirmed to be unavailable with an ankle injury, Wright will shift from his usual role of starting strong-side linebacker to the middle. Patrick Onwuasor is the most likely candidate to start on the strong side for the Raiders on Monday against Cleveland.

Wright (ankle) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Rams. The one-time Pro Bowl linebacker seemed to have a bleak outlook for this NFC West showdown late in the practice week, sitting out both Wednesday and Thursday because of his recent ankle injury. Coach Pete Carroll remained optimistic, however, indicating the veteran still had a chance to go against Los Angeles despite a curtailed practice workload. Wright, in fact, has powered through the issue, and he will make his ninth start of the season against a Rams team that ranks No. 6 in the NFL in total offense.

Wright recorded eight tackles, three pass breakups and a forced fumble in Sunday's 31-23 win over the Dolphins. Wright put together his best game of the season, consistently sniffing out screen passes and nearly intercepting a pass in the first half. The 31-year-old linebacker has stepped up admirably with a good chunk of the secondary, including Jamal Adams (groin), out of the lineup, and with 17 tackles over the last two contests, he's a solid IDP play as well.

Wright made 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 38-31 win over the Cowboys. After handling limited workloads over the first two games of the season, Wright played every snap against the Cowboys and predictably made a major impact. With Bruce Irvin (torn ACL) out for the season and Jordyn Brooks (knee) expected to miss time, Wright has virtually no competition for reps at outside linebacker moving forward. Coming off a career-high 132 stops in 2019, Wright is a solid IDP play in Week 4 against the Dolphins
