Jackson officially announced his retirement Friday, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports. Jackson, who didn't play at all during the 2022 campaign, said he's officially hanging up the cleats during Friday's edition of NFL Network's "Good Morning Football." The 2012 fifth-round pick ends his career with 35.5 sacks, 292 tackles, 63 tackles for loss, 106 quarterback hits, 29 passes defensed and four fumble recoveries across 10 campaigns. Jackson was a member of the Broncos' Super Bowl 50 win and was named to the 2017 Pro Bowl after posting a career-high eight sacks for the Jaguars.

Jackson (ankle) is listed as questionable for the Browns' Week 8 contest against the Steelers. Jackson was limited in practice Thursday and Friday, and his status for Sunday is up in the air. The defensive tackle was questionable heading into Week 7 but he ended up playing, so there is definitely a chance Jackson will be able to suit up against the Steelers. Expect Jordan Elliott to see extended snaps at defensive tackle if Jackson is unavailable Sunday.

Jackson (knee) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's contest against the Broncos, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Jackson's been a force for the Browns defensive line so far this season. Although the defensive tackle has been a limited participant in practice all week, Jackson has yet to miss a game this season. Expect Jordan Elliott to see extended opportunities Thursday if Jackson is unable to suit up.

Jackson signed with the Browns on Friday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Once a formidable pocket disruptor from the defensive interior, Jackson collected 14.5 sacks and the first Pro Bowl nod of his career during his first two seasons with the Jaguars in 2016 and 2017. With time split between Jacksonville (2018) and Philadelphia (2019-2020) the past three years, Jackson has not been nearly as effective as a pass rusher. A Lisfranc injury suffered Week 1 of the 2019 season may have factored into the drop-off in production. Possessing just six total sacks over his past 32 games played, Jackson hopes to find a spark in joining All-Pro Myles Garrett on Cleveland's defensive line. The veteran's run-stuffing abilities will come in handy when taking on Baltimore's reigning No. 1 rush offense twice in 2021.

Jackson (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game in Arizona, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports. Jackson will need to fully clear the league's five-step concussion protocol before retaking the field, and he still has some hurdles to surpass before getting the green light to suit up Sunday. Javon Hargrave would be the favorite to enter the starting lineup if Jackson can't go.
