• Buccaneers' Pierre Desir: Won't play Sunday

  Desir (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Bills, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports. The Buccaneers' cornerback corps is slowly returning to full strength, which has caused Desir to find himself as the odd man out. Through nine appearances this season, the 30-year-old has recorded 22 tackles, three pass deflections, two interceptions and one forced fumble.

  The Buccaneers signed Desir off their practice squad Saturday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. The Buccaneers were already without Jamel Dean (knee) and Sean Murphy-Bunting (elbow) for Week 4, but Carlton Davis (abdomen/ribs) was also added to the injury report Saturday. Desir will join the active squad as a depth piece while Tampa Bay deals with injuries to its top three corners.

  Desir agreed Wednesday with the Seahawks on a one-year contract, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports. The addition of Desir bolsters the Seahawks' depth at cornerback, with Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times noting that the move presumably makes it less likely that the team will consider signing free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman. In 12 games last season between the Jets and Ravens, Desir recorded 49 tackles and three picks.

  Desir (hamstring) practiced without pads Sunday, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports. It's a positive sign Desir is back on the field after he missed nearly a week of practice with this hamstring injury. The 29-year-old cornerback dealt with hamstring and groin injuries last season, so the Jets aren't going to rush him back, as he's expected to start at cornerback in Week 1.
