  The Colts released Woods on Monday. Woods suffered a hamstring injury during the Colts preseason win over the Vikings, and the setback was enough to cost the veteran a roster spot. Over the past three seasons with the Cowboys, Woods has appeared in 39 games and registered 80 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries.

  The Cowboys waived Woods on Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Woods was solid for the Cowboys in 2020, notching 23 tackles and one sack across 14 games (seven starts). However, the additions of defensive tackles Osa Odighizuwa and Quinton Bohanna in the 2021 NFL Draft made Woods a redundant piece. The veteran will look to resurface in a depth role elsewhere.
