Cleveland placed Hughlett (ribs) on its injured reserve list Wednesday. Hughlett was forced out of Sunday's game at Washington early after suffering an injury to his ribs, and now he'll have to sit out of at least the Browns' next four games as he recovers. They'll have to find a new long snapper until he's ready to play again.

Hughlett's absence will force someone into emergency long-snapping duty for the Browns, who've struggled to move the ball and will likely need to go for it on fourth down the rest of the way anyway.

Hughlett had X-rays taken on his foot following Cleveland's season-opening loss to Dallas and was limited in practice all week. However, the issue won't prevent him from suiting up Week 2. Hughlett is thus set to work as the Browns' long snapper Sunday.

Hughlett appears to have left Sunday's loss a little worse for wear. The team will likely provide an update on the long snapper sooner rather than later.
