  • Panthers' Anthony Brown: Shifts to IR
    By RotoWire

The Panthers placed Brown (thumb) on injured reserve Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Brown left Saturday's 15-12 preseason loss to the Jets with a thumb issue, and it now appears that the injury has landed him on IR. The 30-year-old cornerback was likely fighting for a depth role in the Panthers' secondary, but he'll now be forced to miss all of 2024 unless he and Carolina reach an injury settlement at some point this season.

Brown is likely fighting for one of the final spots on the active roster come the start of the season, so any missed time could be critical for his chances. • Cowboys' Anthony Brown: Done for season
    By RotoWire

Brown suffered a torn left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's win versus the Colts. Brown was feared to have suffered an Achilles-related issue when he went down in Sunday night's game against the Colts, and that was confirmed Monday following initial tests. Team owner Jerry Jones confirmed the cornerback will be out for the remainder of the season. In his absence, Kelvin Joseph was elevated to a starting role in the Cowboys' secondary, and he will likely get the first shot at replacing Brown opposite Trevon Diggs moving forward. Brown will finish the 2022 campaign with 42 tackles, seven pass deflections and a forced fumble over 12 games.

    By RotoWire

Brown (concussion) is active Sunday against the Vikings, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Brown suffered a concussion in Week 10's loss to the Packers, but the veteran corner has been able to clear protocols in time to play Sunday. He should draw the start opposite Trevon Diggs at corner.

  • Brown (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against Minnesota, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Brown suffered a concussion during the team's Week 10 loss to Green Bay and logged back-to-back limited sessions to start Week 11 prep but was a full participant Friday. It appears the cornerback is on track to suit up, but if he's a late scratch, DaRon Bland and Kelvin Joseph would be candidates for increased roles opposite Trevon Diggs.
