Austin agreed to a contract with the Broncos on Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Austin's addition to the Broncos secondary comes after a three-day audition during the team's recent minicamp. The Rutgers product appeared in 11 games for the Seahawks last season and recorded 10 tackles (eight solo). Austin will likely provide depth at corner for the Broncos in 2022.

Austin was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Austin spent 10 days on the COVID list and has missed the Seahawks' last two games. Now healthy, Austin should be able to play in the season finale against the Cardinals and continue to provide depth in the secondary, while also contributing on special teams.

Austin won't play Sunday against the Packers due to a personal matter, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports. Austin hasn't played any defensive snaps this season, but he'll be unable to suit up in Week 10. His next chance to play will be Nov. 21 against Arizona.

Austin was waived by the Jets on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Austin played 682 defensive snaps in 11 games for the Jets last season, so it's a bit of a surprise to see him let go. The 2019 sixth-round pick recorded 63 tackles (50 solo), four pass breakups and one forced fumble in 2020.

Austin, who's played 100 percent of the Jets' defensive snaps the past two weeks, will miss the 2020 finale as Lamar Jackson likely fills in across from Bryce Hall. Austin racked up 63 tackles (50 solo), four passes defensed and one forced fumble in 11 games this season.
