Pierce joins a Browns team that was forced to operate without Kareem Hunt (ankle) during Monday's loss to the Steelers. Though he spent most of the season on Chicago's practice squad, Pierce only suited up for one contest, Week 6 against Green Bay.

David Montgomery (knee) is on injured reserve, so Pierce could be promoted again for Week 7 if Damien Williams (COVID-19) is forced to miss another game.
