Perry has been waived by the Patriots. Perry was claimed by the Pats off waivers in 2021 after he was dropped by the Dolphins. He was then ultimatley let go again and subsequently signed to the Saints' practice squad. Following the season, he ended up coming back to New England on a reserve/future contract. However, the journeyman will now have to again look for a new opportunity.

The Patriots signed Perry to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports. Perry will join the Patriots for the 2022 season after being released by the team in November. The wide receiver hasn't appeared in the NFL since 2020, a season in which he caught nine passes for 92 yards and a score over nine games as a member of the Dolphins.

Perry was cut from the Saints' practice squad Tuesday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Perry joined the Saints' practice squad Nov. 23 but failed to make an appearance on the active roster before being cut Tuesday. The running back last played in the NFL in 2020, registering five yards on three rushes and nine catches for 92 yards and a touchdown over nine games with the Dolphins.

Perry (foot) signed with the Saints' practice squad Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. New England recently waived Perry off injured reserve, but the wideout/running back is healthy again and quickly found a new organization. The Saints are expected to quickly promote the 2020 seventh-round pick to the active roster, though it's unclear if Perry will be elevated prior to Thursday's game against the Bills.

The Patriots cut Perry (foot) from their injured reserve Wednesday. Perry was placed on the Patriots' injured reserve list early in September when he suffered a foot injury. The receiver was expected to fill a depth role at wide receiver for New England but instead will try to join a new team as soon as possible.
