  • The Cowboys signed Williams to a three-year, $105.9 million contract extension Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. According to Rapoport, the totality of Williams' deal is five years and $153.15 million with $101 million guaranteed. Dallas acquired Williams from the Jets ahead of the trade deadline last season, sending Mazi Smith, a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-rounder to New York. In seven regular-season games with the Cowboys, Williams logged 21 tackles (nine solo), including 1.5 sacks, and an interception. He's expected to anchor the middle of the defensive line for the next several seasons.

  • Williams had 53 tackles (26 solo), including 2.5 sacks, as well as one interception and three forced fumbles over 15 regular-season games between the Bengals and the Cowboys in 2025. Williams was traded from the Jets to the Cowboys at the trade deadline. The defensive tackle managed to accumulate 1.5 of his 2.5 sacks and his interception in the seven games he was with the new team. The 28-year-old has one more year under contract, and he is set to spend the 2026 season alongside defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa.

  • Williams is dealing with a neck injury in addition to being in concussion protocol but remains questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Chargers, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports. The 28-year-old appears unlikely to suit up Sunday despite his questionable designation. If Williams is sidelined for the Week 16 matchup, Kenny Clark and Solomon Thomas will likely both have expanded roles on Dallas' defensive line.

  • Williams (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. Williams put together a DNP-LP-FP practice log while in the league's concussion protocol, which he would have to clear in order to be available for Sunday's game. Kenny Clark and Solomon Thomas would be the top candidates to start alongside Osa Odighizuwa at defensive tackle if Williams is not cleared to play in Week 16.

  • Williams recorded four total tackles (one solo), including 1.5 sacks, in Monday night's 33-16 win over Las Vegas. Williams made his presence known in his debut with Dallas, combining with Kenny Clark to sack Geno Smith in the first quarter before later adding a full sack on Smith in the second. The defensive tackle hadn't registered a sack since Week 1 with the Jets, so his ability to hit the ground running with the Cowboys is significant. Williams is now up to 36 total tackles (18 solo), including 2.5 sacks, plus three forced fumbles over nine games this year.
