Wilson tallied six tackles (five solo), one interception and one fumble recovery during Sunday's 24-23 win over San Francisco. Wilson grabbed his first interception of the season Sunday and his first since his rookie year with the Browns in 2019. He followed that up by recovering a Jordan Mason red zone fumble that was caused by Jesse Luketa, which led to the go-ahead 35-yard field goal by Chad Ryland 14 plays later. Through the first five games of the regular season, Wilson has logged 33 tackles (21 solo), including 1.0 sacks, two passes defended (one interception) and one fumble recovery.

Wilson accrued nine tackles (eight solo) and one pass defended in Sunday's 34-28 loss to Buffalo. Wilson registered a career-high eight solo tackles Sunday, and his nine tackles tied a career best he set in his rookie year with the Browns. The 2019 fifth-round pick finished third on the Cardinals in total tackles behind linebacker Kyzir White (11) and free safety Budda Baker (10). Wilson started in just four regular-season games across 2022 and 2023 with New England, but he started at linebacker Week 1 and played in 37 of 58 defensive snaps.

Wilson and the Cardinals have agreed to a three-year, $12.75 million deal that could go as high as $15 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The linebacker has played more snaps on special teams than defense in each of the last three seasons. Wilson logged 960 defensive snaps and 82 tackles as a rookie with the Browns in 2019, but he has yet to come close to those numbers since. As a member of the Patriots the last two seasons, Wilson recorded 37 and 36 tackles, respectively.

Wilson re-signed with the Patriots on a one-year contract Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Wilson had 26 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery with the Patriots in 2022. In addition to contributing on special teams, the linebacker played 20.9 percent of the team's defensive snaps last year, but he didn't see the field on defense in the final five games.
