The Browns hosted Asisasi for a tryout Wednesday, Ben Volin of The Boston Globe reports. Asiasi spent training camp with the Bengals in 2023 before being let go, ultimately having stints on the practice squad with the Browns and Titans. He's now getting another look with Cleveland. If signed, the 27-year-old would operate as another depth option behind David Njoku at tight end.

Cleveland cut Asiasi from its practice squad Tuesday. The Browns originally brought Asiasi onto their practice squad ahead of Week 4 versus Baltimore, but they never elevated him to the active roster, and now they've decided to part ways with him ahead of Week 10. Provided he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period, he's on track to once again become a free agent.

Asiasi is signing with the Browns' practice squad Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Asiasi appeared in 12 games with the Bengals last season and was also with the team during training camp. Ultimately, he was unable to make the team's final 53-man roster. He'll now get to stay in the AFC North and work to earn a spot on Cleveland's active roster from the practice squad.

Asiasi was waived by the Bengals on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Asiasi suited up 12 times for the Bengals last season, making two catches on four targets for five yards. The UCLA product has struggled to get his career going, partially due to injuries, since being selected in the third round of the 2020 Draft by the Patriots.

Asiasi (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Ravens. Asiasi is a healthy scratch for the Bengals' regular-season finale. Over his previous seven appearances, he's played 132 offensive snaps, but he's caught only two of three targets for five yards during that stretch. Mitchell Wilcox and Hayden Hurst, who'll be making his first appearance since Week 13, will be Cincinnati's only available tight ends with Asiasi inactive.
