  • Head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Wednesday that Lowe will start at left tackle in place on the injured Will Campbell (knee), Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. With Campbell expected to be placed on the injured reserve list soon, Lowe will likely operate as the Patriots' starting left tackle for the remainder of the regular season. The fourth-year pro from Illinois is no stranger to the role, having started 21 games for New England between 2023 and 2024.

  • Lowe (undisclosed) was activated off the active/PUP list and took part in practice Monday, Tayloy Kyles of Patriots on CLNS reports. Lowe worked as the third-string left tackle Monday behind rookie Will Campbell and Demontrey Jacobs. Lowe made 13 starts for New England in 2024, so he may just be getting brought along slowly in his return from injury. The offensive lineman will look to climb the depth chart in the preseason, which begins for the Patriots on Friday against the Commanders.

  • Patriots' Vederian Lowe: Moves to PUP list
    By RotoWire

The Patriots placed Lowe (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. It's not clear what type of issue Lowe is dealing with, but this move isn't necessarily an indication that he won't be ready for the start of the campaign, as players placed on the PUP list during the preseason can begin practicing and participating in games as soon as they are medically cleared.

  • Lowe (ankle) is not among New England's inactives for Sunday's matchup against the Jets. Lowe hurt his ankle Week 6 against Houston and was unable to play last Sunday versus Jacksonville. However, he was able to finish this week with a pair of limited practices, allowing him to return to action Sunday. Lowe should reprise his starting role at left tackle upon his return.

  • Patriots' Vederian Lowe: To undergo MRI
    By RotoWire

Coach Jerod Mayo said Monday that Lowe will have an MRI to determine the severity of the ankle injury he sustained during Sunday's game versus the Texans, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Lowe was knocked out of New England's contest in Week 6 after just 10 snaps, and the hope is his ankle issue doesn't keep him out even longer. Zachary Thomas, a 2022 sixth-round pick, is considered the next man up for the Patriots at tackle.
