  • Vyncint Smith: Unable to make 53-man roster
    By RotoWire

Smith was cut by the Colts on Tuesday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports. Smith finished the 2022 campaign on Indianapolis' practice squad and re-signed with the team in January. However, the veteran wideout was unable to secure a spot on the team's final roster to start the season. Erickson notes that the Limestone College product will likely end up on the Colts' practice squad unless he opts to sign elsewhere.

  • The Colts signed Smith to a reserve/future contract Monday, per the team's official site. After suiting up for both of Tampa Bay's and Denver's practice squads earlier this season, Smith joined the Colts' practice unit in mid-October but ultimately failed to receive a game-day promotion. The 6-foot-3 wide receiver is now in a position to compete for one of the Colts' roster spots throughout the offseason and into next year's training camp.
