  Hodges (back) played 49 snaps on offense and one snap on defense in Saturday's 26-13 preseason win against the Chiefs. Hodges was held out of practice due to a back injury, but he was healthy enough to suit up for Jacksonville's preseason opener, and he played the second-most snaps on the team behind fellow guard Cole Van Lanen. Hodges missed all of 2023 with a season-ending patella injury, and the 2023 seventh-rounder is competing for a reserve role on the Jags' offensive line.

The second-year offensive lineman out of Appalachian State is now dealing with a back issue, which could jeopardize his chances of making Jacksonville's 53-man roster. Once Hodges returns to full health, he's expected to compete for a depth role on the Jaguars' offensive line.

Hodges sustained a patella injury in the Jaguars' second preseason game last year and missed the entire regular season after being placed on the IR on Aug. 31. The 2023 seventh-round pick appears to have recovered from the injury, and he should provide the Jaguars with depth on the offensive line for the upcoming season.

Hodges sustained a patella injury in the Jaguars' second preseason game against the Lions on Aug. 19 and missed the rest of training camp. The 2023 seventh-round pick out of Appalachian State will now be forced to sit out for the first four games of the season.

Hodges suffered the injury in the team's preseason win over the Lions on Saturday. Although a timetable for his return is still not in place, it seems safe to say the rookie seventh-round selection is in jeopardy of missing the season opener against the Colts, assuming he does make the team's final 53-man roster.
