McBride hauled in seven of eight targets for 72 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 33-30 overtime victory at Dallas. The Cardinals offense experienced a QB change from Jacoby Brissett to Gardner Minshew late in the third quarter, but McBride was undeterred, extending his streak of seven-plus catches to eight consecutive contests to begin the season while also scoring his fifth TD of 2026 on a 14-yard connection with Minshew with 2:11 remaining in regulation. Overall, McBride has a 66-544-5 line on 86 targets just shy of the midpoint of the campaign, putting him on pace to surpass most of his career-high marks (126-1,239-11 on 169 targets) from a season ago. It's unclear who between Brissett and Minshew will be under center next Sunday at Seattle, but McBride and WR Michael Wilson (ribs), assuming the latter suits up, will be the top options in the passing game.

McBride caught seven of nine targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 18-16 win over the Rams. McBride led the Cardinals in catches, receiving yards and targets as Arizona pulled off the upset on the back of six field goals. The star tight end led the NFL with 42 catches through five weeks and has at least seven receptions in every game this season. McBride's up to 49 catches for 361 yards and three touchdowns on 65 targets as the top option in the passing game for the Cardinals heading into a Week 7 home game against the Broncos.

McBride caught seven of 12 targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 36-24 loss to the Giants. White the star tight end saw double-digit targets for a fourth straight game to begin the season, McBride couldn't turn the volume into meaningful production, with backup TE Elijah Higgins instead connecting with Jacoby Brissett on a two-yard score in the third quarter. McBride will carry a 33-242-2 line on a whopping 46 targets into a Week 5 clash at home with the Lions.

McBride is listed as the Cardinals' No. 1 TE on the team's unofficial depth chart. McBride emerged as a target hog in 2024, racking up 147 in 16 regular-season games en route to 111 catches and 1,146 yards but just two touchdowns. The end-zone woes finally came to a close last season, though, as he finished with a monster 126-1,239-11 line on 169 targets in 17 regular-season contests. The catch count set an NFL record for most by a tight end in a campaign, surpassing Zach Ertz's 116 from his 2018 season with the Eagles. McBride remains the top pass catcher for QB Jacoby Brissett and Arizona's offense, but he does have competition for looks from WRs Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson.

Following the offseason departure of Kyler Murray, McBride, who continues to lead Arizona's TE room, is slated to work with a QB corps that features Jacoby Brissett, Gardner Minshew and Carson Beck, Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic reports. Brissett, who started 12 games for Arizona last season after Murray was injured, is still looking to secure a reworked deal for this coming season. However, Mackie believes that the veteran QB seems to have the inside track to the 2026 starting job, provided his contract issue is settled. Regardless of who gets the Week 1 signal-caller nod, McBride remains an elite fantasy option at the TE position and is on track to see high volume in the Cardinals' passing attack, on the heels of a 2025 regular season in which he racked up 126 catches (on 169 targets) for 1,239 yards and 11 TDs in 17 contests.
