Smith was claimed off of the Seahawks' practice squad last week and he looks set to be active for Arizona on Sunday versus the Bears. It's unclear what role the 23-year-old could play on the Cardinals' defense.

Smith will now be available to be claimed by another team and if not, he'll likely return to Seattle's practice squad. The linebacker made his NFL debut in Week 2, recording a tackle while playing 14 combined snaps between the defense and special teams.

Smith missed the entire 2022 season due to hip issues and managed to participate in only a handful of practices before being sidelined. Head coach Pete Carroll noted that Smith's hard work in the weight room now has him at "full speed."
