Winfree (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Colts on Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official website reports. Winfree was not designated to return, meaning that he'll spend the entirety of the 2024 season on IR unless he reaches an injury settlement with Indianapolis. The wide receiver is dealing with an unspecified injury and it's unclear when he'd be able to return to action.

Winfree failed to bring in the only target he saw during the 2023 season. Winfree did most of his work on special teams this season, failing to record a catch for the first time since 2020. He'll now look to compete for a spot on the Colts' 53-man roster for 2024.
