Walker (oblique) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Walker has yet to log any practice reps since injuring his oblique during the Seahawks' Week 1 win against the Broncos, but he was seen running on a side field Wednesday, per Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. The development followed head coach Mike Macdonald telling Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times prior to the session, "We'll see," regarding the running back taking part in practice this week. Walker has two more chances to do so before Seattle may make a ruling on his availability for Sunday's game versus the Dolphins. Zach Charbonnet had 19 touches for 69 yards from scrimmage and a rushing score in place of Walker during a Week 2 victory at New England and would be called on again in the event of another absence from the latter.

Walker (oblique) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Walker was unable to practice in any fashion Wednesday through Friday due to the oblique injury, which prompted the Seahawks to list him as doubtful heading into game day. With Walker now officially ruled out, Zach Charbonnet is expected to move into a leading role out of the backfield, leaving Kenny McIntosh and practice-squad call-up George Holani to fill depth roles behind him. Walker will turn his focus to shaking off the oblique injury with the hope of returning to action next Sunday versus Miami.

Walker (oblique) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game at New England, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Walker was injured during the fourth quarter of a Week 1 win over Denver, after dominating Seattle's backfield snaps and touches over the first 50 minutes of the game. Zach Charbonnet took over in the closing minutes and now figures to make his third career start, with Kenny McIntosh likely getting some touches off the bench. Charbonnet averaged 19.7 touches and 48.7 snaps over a three-game stretch last season when Walker was injured, scoring one TD while averaging 75.3 total yards. It remains to be seen if Walker's absence will lead to a similarly huge workload for Charbonnet under a new coaching staff.

Walker (oblique) missed Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Walker's continued lack of activity this week since injuring his oblique this past Sunday against the Broncos is concerning, to say the least. On the one hand, coach Mike Macdonald told Brady Henderson of ESPN.com on Wednesday that he wants to take Walker's situation day by day, so having the running back focus on rehab versus on-field work makes sense. On the other, Walker now has just one session (Friday) to make his presence felt before Seattle potentially makes a ruling on his availability for Sunday's contest in New England. If Walker is inhibited or out Week 2, Zach Charbonnet would be the Seahawks' primary runner, with Kenny McIntosh and practice-squad member George Holani candidates to get work behind him.

Walker was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice due to an oblique injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. The Seahawks cited an abdominal injury as the reason Walker was deemed questionable to return during the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's win against the Broncos. Prior to Wednesday's session, head coach Mike Macdonald told Brady Henderson of ESPN.com that he wasn't sure if Walker would take part, and the team wants to take the running back's situation day by day. In the end, an oblique issue is the cause of Walker's absence to begin Week 2 prep, and if he ends up limited or sidelined Sunday at New England, Zach Charbonnet would be the primary beneficiary out of Seattle's backfield.
