Bortolini (toe) was left off the Colts' injury report Wednesday ahead of the team's Week 1 game against the Texans on Sunday. The rookie offensive lineman out of Wisconsin has been sidelined for the last couple of weeks due to a toe injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Now that Bortolini is back at full health, he's expected to serve as one of the Colts' top backup offensive linemen in 2024.

Bortolini (toe) did not participate at practice Tuesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Coach Shane Steichen downplayed the injury, saying Tuesday that he doesn't expect Bortolini to miss an extended amount of time. Until Bortolini is back, Mike Panasiuk could see more reps at center during practices.

Bortolini suffered a toe injury Saturday in the Colts' preseason win over Arizona, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports. Bortolini didn't end up returning after the injury, but he said after the game that he doesn't think the issue will keep him out long, per Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star. The rookie fourth-round pick is expected to be a backup on the offensive line during his first NFL campaign.
