Akeem Dent: Officially retires
Akeem Dent has retired from playing and joined the Houston coaching staff.Dent played six NFL seasons, three with the Falcons and three with the Texans, recording 203 tackles and three passes defensed across 90 games. He hasn't played since 2016 and was unlikely to get another opportunity with a club in 2019. He'll now operate as a defensive assistant coach for the Texans.

Report: Texans to re-sign Akeem Dent to two-year deal
The Houston Texans will re-sign veteran linebacker Akeem Dent to a two-year contract, according to a report from ESPN's Josina Anderson. Dent started seven games a year ago for the Texans in his first season with Houston. He was originally selected in the third round of the 2011 draft by the Falcons. The Falcons traded Dent to the Texans for backup quarterback T.J. Yates in 2014. In his four-year career, Dent has totaled 174 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks.

The Texas listed wide receiver Andre Johnson (concussion) and running back Arian Foster (hip) as probable for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. Both Johnson and Foster were able to fully participate in Friday’s practice. The Houston Texans enter their Week 14 clash against the Jaguars relatively healthy, with 13 of 16 players on the final injury report deemed probable.
