Anthony Dixon: Released by Bills
Anthony Dixon was released by the Bills on Tuesday, WGR550.com reports.Boobie was one of the team's better locker room guys and the fans will certainly miss his colorful personality, but Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee easily passed him on the depth chart in 2015. Dixon had plenty of opportunity as the running back corps was decimated with injuries, but he managed just 2.10 yards per carry, and that's for a team that led the league in rushing. He'll likely sign elsewhere in a depth spot, perhaps as a No. 3 or No. 4 guy.

Bills' Anthony Dixon: Should serve as No. 2 this week
Anthony Dixon's teammate Karlos Williams has officially been ruled out this week due to a shoulder injury. The Buffalo Bills will bring up Mike Gillislee from the practice squad, but given Dixon's experience and familiarity with the offense, he's the likely two guy behind LeSean McCoy. That said, this will be Shady's week and the best you're probably hoping for from Dixon is a few odd carries and perhaps a crack or two near the goal line.

Bills' Anthony Dixon: Non-existent role in Sunday's loss
Anthony Dixon did not log a carry or a catch in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.LeSean McCoy took all 17 carries that went to a running back, while Dan Herron at least caught two passes. Dixon had a small window of opportunity when McCoy and Karlos Williams (concussion) were out in Week 5, but he didn't do much with it. With McCoy back and Williams possibly not far behind, Dixon can be safely dropped by those that picked him based on potential volume.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy returns to action Week 6
Bills running back LeSean LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.McCoy is out there if you need him, with ESPN's Bob Holtzman relaying that the running back said that his hamstring feels "a lot better" and expects to see his share of work Sunday. Thus, look for McCoy to head the team's Week 6 backfield, as long as his hamstring holds up, with Dan Herron and Anthony Dixon are on hand in the event that McCoy suffers any in-game setbacks Sunday.

Bills RB Anthony Dixon struggles in expanded role
Buffalo Bills running back Anthony Dixon carried the ball seven times for 19 yards, and caught all three of his targets for 20 more yards Sunday in Tennessee.Owners hoping for cheap production out of Dixon with LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Karlos Williams (concussion) out had to be disappointed to see him cede the majority of the carries to Daniel Herron. Neither running back was particularly effective, and both will probably return to obscurity soon as the rest of the backfield gets healthier.

Bills RB Anthony Dixon gets his chance in Week 5
Buffalo Bills running back Anthony Dixon will get an opportunity to display his talents Sunday in Tennessee with backfield mates LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams ruled out.The team and Rex Ryan have been talking all week about "Boobie Time" and now he'll receive that chance. Dixon will get the first crack at getting the ground game going against a Titans defense that hasn't been great against the run. On the flip side, Dixon doesn't have a track record of being a feature back and there are already rumblings that that team will mix in Dan Herron and Cierre Wood if he turns into a bust. That all said, he's the Buffalo back to own if you're in a Week 5 pinch.

Anthony Dixon appears on track to be Bills' starting RB in Week 5
Buffalo Bills running back Anthony Anthony Dixon's two teammates, Karlos Williams (concussion) and LeSean McCoy (hamstring), did not practice for the second straight day Thursday.McCoy seems highly doubtful to play this week against the Titans, and Williams would need to practice Friday to have any chance.Bills coach Rex Ryan has already made statements this week implying Dixon is his Week 5 starter. No matter how Friday unfolds, Dixon will be a hot pickup this week as the run-oriented Bills prepare to face the Tennessee Titans and their 22nd-ranked run defense.
