Lions' Andrew Quarless: Signs with Lions
Andrew Quarless (suspension) signed a deal with the Detroit Lions on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. With tight ends Eric Ebron and Brandon Pettigrew both recovering from injuries, the Lions are facing serious depth issues at tight end for this coming season. And while Quarless will still be suspended for the first two games of the regular season, he had a solid stint with the Packers and would be a formidable option for the team should neither Ebron nor Pettigrew be ready by Week 3. He is eligible to start practicing with the team immediately.

Andrew Quarless: Suspended two games
Andrew Quarless has been suspended two games for violating the league's personal conduct policy, Ian Rapoport reports.Quarless was not re-signed by the Packers after last season, when he missed virtually all of the campaign due to a knee injury. Now with a two-game suspension stemming from a July 2015 incident in which he discharged a firearm in public, Quarless has been dealt a tough blow as he remains unsigned ahead of this season.

Packers' Andrew Quarless: Placed on IR
Andrew Quarless (knee) was placed on season-ending injured reserve Friday.Quarless missed the vast majority of this season due to a knee issue, which required fluid draining earlier this week. With concerns over his health and effectiveness going forward, the Green Bay Packers decided to shut Quarless down for the year, opening the door for Justin Perillo to serve as Richard Rodgers' main backup at tight end ahead of Saturday's playoff game in Arizona.

Packers' Andrew Quarless: Headed to injured reserve
Andrew Quarless (knee) will be placed on injured reserve by the Green Bay Packers, the ESPN reports.Quarless posted on Instagram on Thursday that his "season has come to an end not by my choice," and he's expected to be placed on injured reserve at some point Friday. Quarless reportedly had fluid drained from his knee recently, an issue that stems back to an early-season injury that landed him on the injured reserve/designated to return list after Week 3. The sixth-year tight end was a limited participant in practice both Wednesday and Thursday, but the Packers were apparently not convinced about his health and will likely hand his roster spot to another receiver or tight end for the team's NFC divisional round game against the Cardinals on Saturday. Quarless will enter free agency in the offseason, and with Richard Rodgers now taking over the primary tight end role for the Packers, it's certainly possible Quarless won't be wearing green and gold next season.

Andrew Quarless caught two passes for 17 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.Playing in his first game Sunday since Week 3, Quarless -- although not by much -- topped fellow tight end Richard Rodgers in both receptions and yards. Quarless could see more snaps in Week 17 with a game under his belt, but he will take on a Vikings team that has routinely shut down opposing tight ends of late.

Packers' Andrew Quarless: Progressing in practice this week
Andrew Quarless (knee) continued to participate in practice this week, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. After Wednesday's practice, Quarless said, "I'm practicing hard. Practice this week has been going real good, a lot better than last week. It's definitely something to look forward to."Quarless wasn't listed on the Green Bay Packers' injury report to start the week, as he remains on the IR/designated-to-return list, but his comments seem to indicate that he could be activated in advance of Sunday's game against the Cowboys. If the Packers can't warrant the roster spot on game day, though, he'll have one more week to prove that he can play again this season.
