The Carolina Panthers have cut tight end Mike McNeill, according to the Baltimore Sun. McNeill, 27, missed the 2014 season due to injury. Prior to joining the Panthers he played for the Colts and Rams. Over his career he has five receptions for 36 yards.

McNeil sustained the injury in the fourth quarter and was unable to return.The Panthers will host the Chiefs on Aug. 17.
