Adam Hayward: Released by Redskins
Adam Hayward (knee) has been released by the Redskins, The Washington Post reports.Hayward joined the Redskins in 2014 as a special teams standout, but a broken leg that year was followed by a torn ACL last August to limit him to just 11 games played for Washington. At 32 years old, Hayward will now hope to receive a training camp invitation and ultimately catch onto a roster elsewhere.

Report: Torn ACL has Redskins LB Adam Hayward out for year
Washington Redskins linebacker and special teams standout Adam Hayward sustained a season-ending knee injury in the second quarter of a preseason game Thursday against Detroit, a source has told ESPN. Both Hayward and Jay Gruden confirmed that the former needed to be further evaluated, but the source claims that he has a torn ACL. Hayward hasn't had much luck in regard to health since coming to Washington. He lost the last five games in 2014 with a tibial plateau fracture and finished the season with nine tackles.

Redskins place Adam Hayward on IR, promote Steve Beauharnais
The Washington Redskins announced linebacker Adam Hayward has officially been placed on injured reserve. Hayward suffered a tibial plateau fracture Week 12. To replace Hayward, the Redskins promoted linebacker Steve Beauharnais from the team’s practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers LB Mason Foster, LB Adam Hayward, OL Davin Joseph, OL Jamon Meredith, and DT Akeem Spence are probable Week 13. All five players were full participants in practice Thursday. Only Hayward and Joseph were unable to practice Wednesday.
