    Report: Eric Weems returning to Falcons with new deal

    Wide receiver Eric Weems has agreed to a new two-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons, according to a report by ESPN.com's Vaughn McClure.  Weems made $730,000 last season, when he had 10 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns for the Falcons. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on March 10.

    Falcons get offensive contributions on MNF

    The Atlanta Falcons got a bunch of contributions in their 43-37 loss at Green Bay. Running back Jacquizz Rodgers ran three times for 20 yards and caught a 14-yard pass. Wideout Harry Douglas caught two of three targets for 11 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown. Rookie running back Devonta Freeman caught two passes for 10 yards, and receiver Eric Weems had a 5-yard touchdown reception. Fullback Patrick DiMarco had a 9-yard grab. They'll all play the Steelers in Week 15.

    Falcons backup pass catchers do little Week 13

    The Atlanta Falcons backup pass catchers did little Week 13 against the Cardinals. Levine Toilolo managed to haul in four balls, gaining 15 yards. He was the target of a 1 yard score from Matt Ryan in the first quarter. Devin Hester had just one catch, gaining 10 yards. He also gained 4 yards on a rushing attempt. Eric Weems pulled in two balls, but gained just 9 yards.  They'll look for more Week 14 against the Packers.
