Ravens' Trevin Wade: Inks deal with Baltimore
Trevin Wade signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.Wade will give the Ravens another healthy body in the defensive backfield after the team waived/injured cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz in a corresponding move. The 28-year-old Wade, a 2012 seventh-round pick, appeared in 16 games with the Giants in 2016, logging 26 tackles and a touchdown.

The Detroit Lions announced several practice squad roster moves on Monday, according to the Detroit Free Press. The team signed the following players to the practice squad: Tight end Jordan Thompson, cornerback Trevin Wade and defensive tackle Roy Philon.

Saints chop way down to mandated 53
The New Orleans Saints have knocked their roster down to 53 by waiving a number of players Saturday. Among the offense players let go are center Matt Armstrong, wide receivers Seantavius Jones , Brandon Coleman and Charles Hawkins, tight end Nic Jacobs, guards Jason Weaver and Marcel Jones, tackles Tavon Rooks and Thomas Welch and running backs Greg Jones and Derrick Strozier. The defenders cut loose are cornerbacks Trevin Wade, Terrence Frederick and Derrius Brooks, linebackers Keyunta Dawson and Todd Davis, tackle Lawrence Virgil, safety Pierre Warren. Placekickers Shayne Graham and Derek Dimke are also out.

Eric Martin in, Trevin Wade out for Browns
The Cleveland Browns have waived second-year cornerback Trevin Wade, reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The team dropped Wade after being awarded linebacker Eric Martin, who was placed on waivers by New Orleans. Wade entered camp with high expectations, but sprained his shoulder making an interception. He received some playing time in the secondary last season after being drafted in the seventh round. Martin, who played in all three of the Saints' preseason games and registered one special teams tackle, will likely play for the Browns Thursday night in Chicago.
